My first visit to the Liberty Memorial, on March 22, 2003 is memorable. A beautiful spring day offers a quick excuse to get outdoors. Considering recent news, it seems fitting to visit this historic veteran landmark. After pondering the messages on the front of the Liberty Memorial, I witness a bare act of civil discourse when an anti-war banner is hung from the southeastern side.
